Beaphar Stop Ticks and Mosquitoes For Dogs 125ml contains DEET which acts against ticks and mosquitoes including the tiger mosquito Aedes Albopictus and the mosquito Aedes Aegypti both in humans and in dogs. DEET is the world's most widely used tick and mosquito repellant. It changes the insect's smell perceptions to prevent the pest from biting .
In humans, it protects for 7 hours against ticks which can transmit Lyme disease and for 8 hours against mosquitoes, in particular those which can transmit the Zika virus, Chikungunya and Dengue.
In dogs, it protects for 8 hours against sand flies which can transmit Leishmaniasis and for 5 hours against ticks which can transmit Piroplasmosis.
