How is beeswax produced?
Honey bees secrete beeswax to build the rays of the hive. These wax rays serve as storage and protection for honey and pollen.
Beeswax is harvested by beekeepers. It is removed from the frame of the hive, at the same time as the harvest of honey, by melting, by means of a cerificator (electric or solar) or a solar oven. This separates the wax from its impurities and honey residues.
The beeswax of the Artisan Savonnier is made in France. It is contained in a recyclable paper bag.
