Our advice and expert opinions in pharmacy

Apply silicon polish during your chemo

Cancer treatments, especially chemo, have side effects on the nails. To combat these undesirable effects and remain feminine during the illness, perform a complete care ritual for the nails.
Protect your fingernails and toenails with a varnish before each chemotherapy session (in particular based on Taxol or Taxotere):

  • apply the day before or the day of the session a colorless silicon base which will strengthen your nail
  • then 2 coats of dark opaque varnish or anti-UV silicon varnish
  • and finish with a new coat of colorless protective varnish (a topcoat).
