    Description GYNOPURA Econazole Cream Mycosis 30g

    Gynopura Econazole Cream Mycosis 30 g is a drug of local action containing antifungal of the imidazole family.

    It is used in the treatment of certain diseases of the skin, nails and mucous membranes , due to microscopic fungi (mycosis): candidiasis, dermatophytosis ...

    Indications of use :

    • Genitocrural candidal intertrigo
    • Onyxis and candida perionyxis
    • Dermatophytia of the smooth skin
    • Intertrigo genital and crural dermatophyte

    Advice for use and dosage

    Apply the cream on the lesions to be treated with the fingertips, a few drops having been deposited in the hollow of the hand or directly on the lesions. Massage gently until complete penetration.

    Composition

    The active substance is :
    Econazole nitrate ........................................... 1 g
    For 100 g of cream.

    The other ingredients are : ethylene glycol palmitostearate and polyoxyethylene glycol (Tefose 63), unsaturated polyglycolysed glycerides (Labrafil M 1944 CS), light liquid paraffin, benzoic acid, butylhydroxyanisole, perfume PVC 1676 (essential oils of lavandin, orange and mandarin, linalyl acetate, citronellol, butylhydroxytoluene, dipropylene glycol), purified water.

    Precaution of use

    • Shelf life: 3 years.
    • Special precautions for storage: Do not store above 25 ° C.

    What are the symptoms of mycosis ?

    • At the level of the feet , one can observe redness, itching, cracks between the toes, or simply bad smells.
    • At the level of the nails : a yellowing of the nail that peels off and thickens.
    • At the genital level : burns while urinating, tingling in the vagina, whitish deposits (like curdled milk) between the labia minora and at the entrance to the vagina, pain during intercourse. Men can have the same symptoms in the glans.

    This medication is recommended for the treatment or adjunctive treatment of certain skin conditions caused by fungi (fungal infections).

    2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU USE GYNOPURA 1%, local application cream?

    Never use GYNOPURA 1%, cream for local application

    · if you are allergic to the active substance} or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine, mentioned in section 6.

    IN CASE OF DOUBT, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO ASK THE ADVICE OF YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST.

    Warnings and precautions

    Be careful with GYNOPURA 1%, cream for local application:

    Precautions for use

    · Avoid application near the eyes.

    · It is recommended not to use an acidic soap (the acidity favoring the multiplication of candida).

    · If used in children, on a large surface, or on an injured skin, it is imperative to respect the recommendations and the dosage indicated by your doctor because of the greater penetration of the product in these circumstances.

    3. HOW TO USE GYNPOPURA 1%, cream for local application?

    Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.

    Drug for local use:

    Apply on affected areas and their periphery 2 times a day, after washing and drying the skin. Follow the application of a gentle and regular massage until complete penetration.

    DERMAL

    The duration of treatment is 2 to 4 weeks depending on the mycosis, it can be longer for some localizations. Regular use of the product throughout the course of treatment is critical to successful treatment.

    This medication should not be used in case of allergy to antifungals of the imidazole family.
    ATTENTION (summary)
    Avoid using this medicine, especially in children, for prolonged periods and on large or deeply damaged areas without the advice of your pharmacist or doctor.
    Rinse thoroughly in case of accidental contact with the eyes.
    PREGNANCY and BREASTFEEDING (summary)
    The effect of this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding is poorly understood. The evaluation of the potential risk related to its use is individual: ask your pharmacist or your doctor for advice.
    DIRECTIONS AND DOSAGE (summary)
    The drug should be applied after careful washing and drying of the area to be treated.
    Apply the cream directly to the lesions and massage to penetrate. In the folds of the skin, the cream must be applied in small quantities to limit the risk of maceration.

    Usual dosage:

    1 application, 2 times a day.
    The duration of treatment varies between 1 to 3 weeks depending on the case. It may be longer in some locations.
    TIPS (summary)
    In case of candidiasis , avoid using soaps acids: they promote the multiplication of mushrooms.
    In case of significant lesion of the toenails, a preliminary grinding by a pedicure facilitates the action of the drug.
    Excessive sweating contributes to the development of fungal lesions. The wearing of natural fiber socks (cotton, wool) is recommended. The same pair of shoes should not be worn two days in a row.
    ADVERSE POSSIBLE EFFECTS (summary)
    Rarely: burning, itching, redness of the skin.
    Very rarely: contact eczema .

    LEXICON (summary)


    allergy
    Skin reaction (itching, pimples, swelling) or general discomfort occurring after contact with a particular substance, use of a medication or ingestion of a food. The main forms of allergy are eczema, urticaria, asthma, angioedema and allergic shock (anaphylactic shock). Food allergy can also result in digestive disorders.


    antifungal
    Drug that destroys microscopic fungi and yeasts. These may be present on the skin or mucous membranes (digestive tract or genitals). The most common yeast is Candida albicans.


    candida
    Abnormal multiplication of microscopic yeast, Candida albicans most often. This is a frequent and benign complication of antibiotic treatments. The main symptoms are digestive disorders, brown or black staining of the tongue, white spots on the palate or tongue (lily of the valley), itching or burns of the vulva or glans.


    dermatophytes
    Infection of the skin or nails by a microscopic mushroom (dermatophyte).


    eczema
    Disease of the skin manifested by pimples and sharp itching. Eczema may be due to contact with an allergenic substance (contact eczema) or to a genetic predisposition (atopic eczema).

    Family of drugs that includes antifungals, antibiotics and antiparasitics.
