Description of Aftagel Gel Buccal 15ml

Aftagel Gel Buccal 15ml is an analgesic gel containing a local anesthetic. It is used in the local treatment of limited inflammatory lesions of the oral mucosa and canker sores .

Often mild, canker sores also called aphtosis are no less bothersome and painful. In rare cases, they can be symptoms of certain illnesses. As canker sores heal on their own, their treatment is mainly symptomatic, in order to relieve the pain.
Canker sore is a vascular disorder. A canker sore occurs when a small vessel becomes blocked, an ulceration appears then a necrosis, which ends up creating a small hole. The larger the artery, the larger the necrotic area, the larger the canker sore.

Directions for use of Aftagel Gel Buccal 15ml

  • Wash your hands thoroughly, place the gel on a finger and lightly massage the painful area.
  • 1 application, to repeat during the day, if necessary.
  • Wash hands after application.

Composition of Aftagel Gel Buccal 15ml

The active substances are :

Lidocaine hydrochloride 0.60000 g

Zinc sulfate 0.50000 g

Per 100 ml of oral gel.

The other components are :

Excipients: glycerol, hydroxyethylcellulose, strawberry flavor LC 15096, sodium saccharin, clove essential oil, cochineal red A (E 124), purified water.

Precautions for use

Do not use Aftagel Gel Buccal 15ml in the following cases: if you have a history of allergy to local anesthetics (lidocaine).

Be careful with Aftagel Gel Buccal 15ml :
