Description of MERCRYL FOAMING SOLUTION BOTTLE 300ML

Cleaning and adjunctive treatment of affections of the skin and mucous membranes, infected or at risk of becoming infected .

Cut, scratch ... Our skin is subject to multiple attacks. Precaution for use with MERCRYL FOAMING SOLUTION BOTTLE 300ML

  • Use properly and do not keep a opened bottle for a long time because microbial contamination is possible from the opening, especially if the volume of the bottle is more than 250 ml.

  • Taking other medicines: This medicine should not be used at the same time as other local antiseptics (risk of incompatibility or ineffectiveness).

Precautions for use; special warnings

Warnings

This medicinal product is for external use only.

When used on a large area, under occlusive dressing (impermeable to water and air), on a deeply burned skin, a skin of premature or infant, there are risks of passage in the general circulation .

Use with caution in newborns, especially premature infants. MERCRYL, FOAMING SOLUTION, can cause chemical burns to the skin.

Precautions for use

Use cleanly and do not keep an opened bottle for a long time because microbial contamination is possible on opening, especially if the volume of the bottle is more than 250 ml.

INDICATIONS (summary)
This medicine contains local antiseptics associated with a foaming agent.
It is used to cleanse the skin and mucous membranes and to ensure the antiseptic of lesions infected or at risk of infection.
CONTRAINDICATIONS (summary)
This medication should not be used in the following cases:
  • allergy to quaternary ammoniums ,
  • in application in the eyes or in the ear canal (risk of toxicity in case of perforation of the eardrum),
  • for disinfection of medical and surgical equipment (see ATTENTION).
WARNING (Contents)
Avoid prolonged use of this medication, especially in children, mucous membranes and on extensive or deeply injured surfaces, without the advice of your doctor: risk of blood circulation.
This antiseptic is not suitable for the disinfection of scissors, razors and other potentially contaminating objects. Similarly, it should not be used to disinfect the skin before a sting.
DRUG INTERACTIONS (summary)
Combination with other antiseptics or soaps is not recommended because their effects may cancel out.
PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING (summary)
The timely use of this medication during pregnancy or lactation does not seem to pose any particular problem.
This antiseptic should not be applied to the nipple without medical advice. Careful rinsing before feeding is essential.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE (summary)
The solution is used pure on the skin and diluted 1/10 on the mucous membranes . The use of the solution (pure or diluted) must always be followed by a rinse with water.
