ACTHEANE is a homeopathic medicine traditionally used in hot flashes and functional disorders of menopause .

Hot flashes, what symptoms ?
The clinical signs of this phenomenon vary considerably from one individual to another but are reflected, in the majority of cases, by:

  • excessive sweating of the face (nose, forehead, cheeks), chest and legs
  • normal body temperature
  • increased heart rate (palpitations)
  • redness on the face and neck
  • chills
  • heating of the extremities (hands, feet, etc.)

This type of symptom occurs mainly in the morning or in the evening. When they occur at night, we speak of night sweats.

How to use ACTHEANE

ACTHANE dosage

2 to 4 taking 1 tablet depending on the intensity of the symptoms, to be distributed during the day or on demand, to be sucked slowly away from meals. Space out when improved and stop taking as soon as symptoms disappear.

Method and route of administration ACTHEANE

Sublingual use (tablet to melt under the tongue)

Intended for adults.

Duration of ACTHEANE treatment

The duration of treatment is 3 months, renewable.

In case of overdose of ACTHEANE

If you take more ACTHEANE orodispersible tablet than you should:

Immediately consult your doctor or pharmacist.

If one or more doses of ACTHEANE are missed

If you miss a dose of ACTHEANE, orodispersible tablet:

Do not take a double dose to make up for the dose you forgot to take

Pregnancy and breast-feeding with ACTHEANE

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.

In the absence of experimental and clinical data, and as a precaution, the use of this drug should be avoided during pregnancy and lactation.

  • For a 250 mg tablet:
  • Actaea racemosa 4 CH (0.5 mg)
  • Arnica montana 4 CH (0.5 mg)
  • Glonoinum 4 CH (0.5 mg)
  • Lachesis mutus 5 CH (0.5 mg)
  • Sanguinaria canadensis 4 CH (0.5 mg)

Excipients : sucrose, lactose, magnesium stearate.

Contraindication with ACTHEANE

Never use ACTHEANE, sucking tablet:

  • In children.
  • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substances or to any of the components contained in ACTHEANE, orodispersible tablet.

Possible interactions with ACTHEANE

If you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, tell your doctor or pharmacist.

This medication is to be taken at a distance from meals.

Actheane side effects

Like all medicines, ACTHEANE, sucking tablet can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.
If you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, or if some side effects become serious, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Instructions for proper use

Always take this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.

Dosage

1 tablet to be sucked 2 to 4 times per 24 hours, to be divided according to the intensity of the symptoms. This medication can also be taken at night if needed.

Decrease the number of daily intake with improvement and discontinue symptom withdrawal.

If there is no rapid improvement, consult your doctor.

Administration mode

Sublingual pathway.

Duration of treatment

The duration of the treatment is three months renewable.
