Carbosylane is a drug indicated for adults and children over 6 years in the symptomatic treatment of dyspeptic states (indigestion) and bloating (intestinal bloating).

Dosage:

     For adults and children over 6 years.


This drug is in the form of a blue capsule gastrosoluble (whose active ingredients are released into the stomach) and a red hard gastro-resistant (whose active ingredients are released into the intestine) to take simultaneously.

The usual dosage is 3 doses (1 dose: red + blue 1gélule 1gélule) per day.

Route of administration: Oral

Blue capsule shell: gelatin, indigo carmine (8132), titanium dioxide (E171).

Enteric coating of the red capsule: Cellulose acetate phthalate, diethyl phthalate.

INDICATIONS (summary)
This medication contains activated charcoal and a silicone digestive dressing , which protect the digestive tract and combat gas production.
It is used in the symptomatic treatment of difficult digestions and in cases of abdominal bloating.
WARNING (Contents)
Do not use this medication for long periods of time without the advice of your doctor: tests may be necessary if symptoms persist.
DRUG INTERACTIONS (summary)
This drug may decrease the absorption of other drugs, especially those that contain digitoxin or digoxin ( digitalis ). A delay of at least 2 hours must be observed between taking this medication and that of other treatments. Ask your doctor or pharmacist.
PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING (summary)
This medicine contains only presumed safe substances during pregnancy or lactation.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE (summary)
One dose includes one blue capsule and one red capsule. The capsules should be swallowed together with a little water, before or after the main meals.
Capsules are not suitable for children under 6 years of age. They may clog the airways if the child swallows and the capsule passes into the trachea (false route).

Usual dosage:

  • Adult: 1 adult dose, 3 times daily.
  • Child from 10 to 15 years: 1 dose Child, 3 times a day.
  • Children from 6 to 10 years: 1 dose Child, 2 times a day.
TIPS (summary)

1. WHAT CARBOSYLANE, capsule AND IN WHAT CASES IS IT USED?

Pharmacotherapeutic group - ATC code: A07BA51, ANTIFLATULENT / INTESTINAL ADSORBENT

This medication is indicated in adults and children over 6 years of age in the symptomatic treatment of dyspeptic states (difficult digestion) and meteorism (intestinal bloating).

2. BEFORE YOU TAKE CARBOSYLANE, capsule?

Do not take CARBOSYLANE, capsule:

· if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medication mentioned in section 6.

· In children under 6 years of age due to the risk of misuse.

If you are undergoing medical treatment with digitalis. Take CARBOSYLANE, capsule of digitalics (more than 2 hours if possible).

3. HOW TO TAKE CARBOSYLANE, capsule?

Dosage

Reserved for adults and children over 6 years of age.

This drug is in the form of a gastro-soluble blue capsule (whose active ingredients are released in the stomach) and a gastro-resistant red capsule (whose active ingredients are released into the intestine) to be taken simultaneously .

The recommended dosage is 3 doses (one dose = 1 red capsule + 1 blue capsule) per day.
