Description of Phloroglucinol 80mg Biogaran 10 orodispersible tablets

 

This medication is an antispasmodic indicated for the treatment of spasmodic pain in the intestine, bile ducts, bladder and uterus.

 

Using advice and opinion on Phloroglucinol 80mg Biogaran 10 orodispersible tablets

 

 In adults , the usual dosage is 2 orodispersible tablets, to be taken at the time of the attack, to be renewed in the event of major spasms.
The orodispersible tablets are to be dissolved in a glass of water or left to dissolve under the tongue to obtain a rapid effect. Orodispersible tablets can also be swallowed.
- In children : 1 tablet twice a day to dissolve in a glass of water.

Do not take PHLOROGLUCINOL BIOGARAN 80 mg orodispersible tablets in the following cases:

· known allergy to phloroglucinol or any of the other ingredients of the product ( see What contains PHLOROGLUCINOL BIOGARAN 80 mg orodispersible tablet? )

· in the case of phenylketonuria (hereditary disease detected at birth), due to the presence of aspartame.

Take special care with PHLOROGLUCINOL BIOGARAN 80 mg orodispersible tablet:

If you are intolerant to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medication, because of the presence of lactose.

This medicine contains a source of phenylalanine, it can be dangerous for patients with phenylketonuria.

This medication is an antispasmodic . He struggles against abnormal and painful contractions of the intestine, the bile ducts , the way urinary and uterus.
It is used in the treatment of painful spasms of digestive origin (spasmodic colitis ), biliary (hepatic colic), urological ( renal colic ) and gynecological (painful periods and contractions of the uterus during pregnancy).
CONTRAINDICATIONS (summary)
This medication should not be used for phenylketonuria (presence of aspartame).
PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING (summary)
Pregnancy :
The scientific data currently available have not revealed any particular problem when using this medication during pregnancy at the recommended dose. Nevertheless, do not use it without medical advice.

Breastfeeding:
The data currently available do not indicate whether this drug passes into breast milk: it is not recommended during breast-feeding without medical advice.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE (summary)
The tablets can be dissolved in a glass of water or placed under the tongue to have a faster effect.

TIPS (summary)
