This syrup from the Urgo Humer range is a syrup containing active ingredients of natural origin for cough management for the whole family from 8 years old. It is formulated with natural ingredients , including honey, licorice and plantain.
Coughing is a natural bodily mechanism to clear the airways of inhaled impurities. It is usually due to an irritation which can be located throughout the respiratory tree: the trachea, the bronchi.
During bronchitis, the cough usually goes through two phases, first it is a dry cough and then it becomes oily after a few days. Contrary, during a winter respiratory disease, the cough can be "mixed", that is to say that it is sometimes dry, sometimes greasy, depending on the moment. After such a viral episode, the cough persists for 3 to 8 weeks while the condition is cured. This is so because the mucous membrane of the respiratory tree has been weakened, it is called "post-infectious" and "sub-acute".
The dosage for an adult is 1 and a half cups 2-4 times a day. For children over 8 years old, it is 1 cup twice a day maximum.
