Le Comptoir Aroma Essential Oil Exotic Verbena is recommended as air antiseptic and general antiseptic for its sedative properties used as anti-stress.

What is Le Comptoir Aroma Exotic Verbena Essential Oil 10ml used for?

Exotic Verbena is a small tropical tree native to China and Indonesia. Its small fruits resemble those of pepper, hence the name "cubeba" (from Piper cubeba: cubeb or tailed pepper). Its leaves and flowers give off a lemony scent.

Organic Exotic Verbena essential oil, with its high concentration of citrals, is a natural and effective solution for deep relaxation. It acts as a powerful sedative, positively influencing the central nervous system. This sedative property makes it an ideal ally in the management of sleep disorders and fatigue. It helps restore emotional balance, reducing stress and anxiety, promoting restful sleep and a significant improvement in quality of life.

Exotic Verbena essential oil is also recognized for its remarkable anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. These effects are mainly due to the presence of citral and sesquiterpene carbides. These compounds give the essential oil the ability to effectively alleviate joint and muscle pain. Its anti-inflammatory action targets painful areas, offering fast, natural relief without the side effects often associated with synthetic drugs. It is therefore indispensable for those seeking a natural alternative for managing pain and inflammation.

In addition to its effects on mental and physical well-being, Exotic Verbena essential oil offers effective protection against various pathogens. Its high citral content gives it powerful antiviral action, particularly against herpes labialis, as well as antifungal efficacy against agents such as Candida albicans. In addition, its antibacterial activity, particularly against anaerobic germs, makes it an excellent choice for boosting the body's natural defenses. Finally, its insect-repellent action adds a further dimension to its broad spectrum of use, offering natural protection against insect bites and the diseases they can transmit.

Advice from our naturopaths

Lemon verbena essential oil, plant of the nervous system Lemon verbena essential oil, plant of the nervous system

Originally from Chile and introduced to southern Europe by Spain around the 7th century, lemon verbena is named after the traveling botanist Lipp . Very fragrant as its name suggests, lemon verbena essential oil develops a characteristic smell of lemon and citron , but without presenting the spicy and fresh side of the latter. Here it's softer, grassier, floral too, reminiscent of Bourbon geranium . Spicy hints are also…
