FLECTOR EFFIGEL 1 PERCENT GEL DICLOFENAC EPOLAMIN TUBE 60G

The sprain is a joint trauma that occurs most often after a fall. It induces spontaneous recovery with rest and immobilization (plaster / splint), as well as with physiotherapy work in some cases. Sprain can lead to trauma-related sequelae. The repetitive sprain is linked to the fragility of the joint that arose during the initial sprain.

Description of FLECTOR EFFIGEL 1 PERCENT GEL DICLOFENAC EPOLAMIN TUBE 60G

This medication is indicated as a short-term local treatment, in adults and children over 15 years of age, in cases of mild trauma: sprains (strain), contusion.

Pharmacotherapeutic class:

  • NON-STEROID ANTI-INFLAMMATORY FOR TOPICAL USE.

Precautions for use

Be careful with FLECTOREFFIGEL 1%, gel:
Warnings

  • Do not apply to the mucous membranes or the eyes.
  • The appearance of a rash after application requires immediate cessation of treatment.
  • This medication contains propylene glycol and may cause skin irritation.
  • Due to the presence of methyl benzoate, this medication may cause irritation of the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

Pregnancy and breast feeding :

Pregnancy

  • Until the 24th week of amenorrhea (5 months of pregnancy completed), your doctor may be required, if necessary, to prescribe this medication on an ad hoc basis.
  • From the 25th week of amenorrhea (beginning of the 6th month of pregnancy), you should in no case take this medication yourself, as its effects on your child can have serious consequences, especially on a cardio- pulmonary and renal, even with just one take.

Feeding with milk
This medicine passes into breast milk. As a precautionary measure, avoid using it while breastfeeding.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.

Active ingredients :
The active substance is :

  • Diclofenac epolamine 1.293 g
  • Corresponding amount of diclofenac sodium 1,000 g

Per 100 g of gel.

Other substances :

Excipients: Macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, macrogol stearate, soy lecithin, polymerized acrylic acid, sodium hydroxide, isopropanol, Floral PH * fragrance, purified water.

Using advice and opinion on FLECTOR EFFIGEL 1 PERCENT GEL DICLOFENAC EPOLAMIN TUBE 60G

1 application 3 times a day.

Administration mode
Dermal.
EXTERNAL USE.
Make the gel penetrate by a gentle and prolonged massage on the painful or inflammatory region.
Wash hands thoroughly after each use.

Duration of treatment
The duration of treatment is limited to 4 days

The pain relieving massage gels are highly concentrated in essential oils of juniper, wintergreen, combava grain, mint, exotic verbena, thyme, turpentine. These essential oils are traditionally used for their anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving and muscle relaxant actions. These gels are sometimes enriched with plant extracts of natural origin from Harpagophytum, Cassis and Calophyll vegetable oil with anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic properties, known to relieve pain in stiff muscles or joints

In case of mild sprain, Protocol: GREEK = RICE (Rest / Ice / Compresssion / Immobilization)

  • Icing of the painful area : Limits edema and relieves pain with cold packs or ice cubes placed in an airtight bag (ice bladder, plastic bag), making sure to wipe a damp cloth to protect the skin and avoid a cold-related burn.Apply as soon as possible for 15 to 20 minutes every 2 hours, 6 times a day for the first day, then 4 times a day for 2 to 3 days, then space apart until complete disappearance of edema. (packs to refrigerate, cold gel like Biofreeze, Structofresh.)
  • Rest : Put the joint and / or muscles to rest using a immobilization splint for a few days to relieve and avoid painful movements.
  • Elevation to 45 ° of the limb : Place the limb in discharge: raise the foot or the leg during the resting and during the night (using a pillow for example) to reduce the pain and favor the drainage of edema.
  • Compression : Perform temporary compression to combat edema and inflammation using a compression bandage for 48 to 72 hours to decrease edema.

Precaution for use with FLECTOR EFFIGEL 1 PERCENT GEL DICLOFENAC EPOLAMIN TUBE 60G

Never use FLECTOREFFIGEL 1%, gel in the following cases :

  • From the 25th week of amenorrhea (beginning of the 6th month of pregnancy).
  • In case of allergy (hypersensitivity) to this drug or to a related drug, in particular other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin,
  • In case of allergy to any of the excipients,
  • On injured skin, whatever the lesion: oozing lesions, eczema, infected lesion, burn or wound.

1. WHAT FLECTOR 1 PER CENT, gel and WHAT IT IS USED FOR?

NON-STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY THERAPY

(M: locomotor system)

This medication is an anti-inflammatory and an analgesic (it calms the pain), in the form of gel for application on the skin, only in the region of pain.

This drug is recommended in adults for upper and lower limb tendonitis (inflammation of muscle tendons) and in edema after an operation or after trauma.

2. BEFORE YOU USE FLECTOR 1 PER CENT, gel?

Never use FLECTOR 1 PER CENT, gel:

· from the 6th month of pregnancy;

· allergy to this or any related drug, including other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin;

· allergy to any of the excipients;

· injured skin, whatever the lesion: oozing lesions, eczema, infected lesion, burn or wound.

IN CASE OF DOUBT, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO ASK FOR THE OPINION OF YOUR DOCTOR OR YOUR PHARMACIST.

Warnings and Precautions

Special warnings

· FLECTOR 1 PER CENT, gel should only be used on healthy skin.

· Do not apply on mucous membranes or eyes.

· The appearance of a rash after application requires immediate cessation of treatment.

· If you have or have a history of bronchial asthma or allergic disease.

· If you suffer from kidney, heart or liver disease.

· If you have an inflammatory bowel disease or you are prone to intestinal bleeding.

· Do not use under occlusive dressing.

· Do not expose yourself to sunlight or tanning lamps during treatment.

Precautions for use

· FLECTOR 1 PER CENT, gel is not recommended in children.

· The use of gloves by the masseur physiotherapist, in case of intensive use, is recommended.

· This medicinal product contains castor oil and may cause skin reactions (eg eczema).

· Due to the presence of methyl benzoate, this medicinal product may cause irritation to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

· This medicine contains propylene glycol and may cause skin irritation.

Renal or hepatic impairment

· If you use more FLOREST 1 PER CENT, gel than you should, rinse thoroughly with water.

In case of overdose or accidental poisoning, immediately notify a doctor.

If you forget to take FLECTOR 1 PER CENT, gel

4. WHAT ARE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

· Exceptionally, allergic skin reactions may occur; respiratory asthma or general anaphylaxis type.

Immediately stop treatment and tell your doctor.

· Can occur:

o local skin effects such as redness, itching, rash;

o other general effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, depending on the amount of gel applied, the surface area treated and its condition, duration of treatment and whether or not a dressing is used;

o irritation of the skin, eyes and mucous membranes (depending on the place of application) due to the presence of methyl benzoate;

o due to the presence of propylene glycol, there is a risk of contact dermatitis.

You should tell your doctor.

If you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, or if any of the side effects gets serious, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

5. HOW TO STORE FLECTOR 1 PER CENT, gel?

Do not use FLIGHT 1 PERCENT, gel after the expiry date stated on the outer packaging.

Tube

FLECTOR 1 PER CENT, tube gel must be used within 18 months of opening.

No special storage conditions.

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist what to do with unused medications. These measures will help protect the environment.

INDICATIONS (summary)
This gel contains a non- steroidal anti-inflammatory drug ( NSAID ). It locally fights against inflammation and pain.

This medication should not be used in the following cases:
  • allergy to aspirin or NSAIDs ;

WARNING (Contents)
Do not apply this gel to the mucous membranes or under a waterproof (occlusive) dressing.

NSAIDs
