Lavender is the first essential oil in the family kit: the essential. The first that we will use for children (previously incorporated in a vegetable oil).
Properties of Organic Fine Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender Essential Oil is recommended to calm states of nervousness, to promote falling asleep, to relieve muscle contractures, stiff necks and cramps. It is also an excellent aid to help the healing of wounds, burns, insect bites and relieve sunburn.
Main indications of organic essential oil of fine lavender
The essential oil of fine lavender is used in the following therapeutic indications:
- Stress, insomnia, anxiety
- Hypertension
- Rheumatism, muscle cramps, contractures, migraines
- Acne, burns, eczema, rosacea, infectious dermatoses, wounds and bedsores, varicose ulcers
Results of organic essential oil of fine lavender
Fine Lavender Essential Oil is very useful to always have in your first aid kit.
Calming, sedative, antidepressant. Hypotensive. Antispasmodic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory. Regenerative of the skin.
Tips for using organic essential oil of fine lavender
Oral (stress, anxiety) : For adults put 2 drops on a neutral tablet 3 times a day. For children (over 7 years old), 1 drop 3 times a day.
Cutaneous use: 2 to 5 drops diluted in a vegetable oil or pure then massage the zone concerned (contractures, sunburn ...) 3 times a day. For children, use only 2 drops.
In diffusion (stress) : Put a few drops pure or diluted with other oils in your diffuser.
In nervous states , put 20 drops of lavender in 2 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil or neutral bubble bath; pour under the turbulence of the tap and relax for 20 minutes; lavender is sedative: plan to go to bed after bathing.
For children, we always dilute in vegetable oil like sweet almond: 8 years, 8 drops; 5 years, 5 drops, 2 years, 2 drops ...
A classic remedy for otitis: put 2 drops of lavender EO on cotton (no cotton wool), introduce at the beginning of the ear canal. Do not pour pure or diluted essential oil into the ear if you do not know the condition of the ear canal.
Against hypertension, migraines : apply 3 to 5 drops of pure lavender on the temples, neck, wrists.
To help children fall asleep , diffuse lavender and orange zest in equal parts in the bedroom for 10 minutes before putting children to bed.
It is often recommended to put lavender on the pillowcase; it is a practice to be avoided for two reasons: one puts the face on the pillow; lavender is still an essential oil and can irritate the eyes; this is especially true for children. In the middle of the night, you wake up and the smell bothers you; what to do? It would have been enough to put the essential oil on a tissue that you keep close to you and that you can remove if necessary.
On the wounds, prepare compresses of lavender : in a small bowl, pour ¼ cup of water and 4 drops of lavender; soak gauze in it and apply to the area to be treated.
Against musculoskeletal pain , prepare a lavender rub alone or in synergy.
A drop of fine lavender essential oil in a cucumber mask blurs several skin imperfections.
Recommended synergies of organic essential oil of fine lavender
With the essential oils of lemon eucalyptus, camphor rosemary, bay leaf, lemon verbena, black spruce and Scots pine in friction for aches and pains.
With essential oils of geranium, and palmarosa for the skin.
With citrus essential oils for diffusion.
With the essential oil of Ylang Ylang as hypotensive.
Precautions for use of organic essential oil of fine lavender
- Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Forbidden in people with epilepsy
- Forbidden to people allergic to limonene or linalool
- Forbidden in people with asthma without the advice of an allergist
- Respect the dosages in children (risk of neurotoxicity)
- Risk of genomastifying effects in young boys
The properties explained above apply to good, quality lavender; be wary of products in demand or without botanical species; the essential oil does not have the color of the plant: a lavender-colored oil automatically indicates a falsified product.
