What is Phytosun Aroms Cistus Ladaniferus Essential Oil used for?
The essential oil of cistus ladaniferus (cistus ladaniferus) has astringent and hemostatic properties. Healing, the essential oil can be used pure on a cotton swab in epistaxis or on small wounds. Usable in dermatology and immunology, it is antibacterial, antiviral and immunomodulating. In addition, it is a regulator of the parasympathetic nervous system.
This essential oil is used in the following therapeutic indications:
- Locally: epistaxis, cuts, wounds, recent scars, acne, infected wounds, anal fissure, rash viral diseases (chicken pox, measles)
- Used in preparations against skin aging, wrinkles and stretch marks due to its astringent and skin tonic properties
- Some therapists advise it in autoimmune diseases
How to use Phytosun Aroms Cistus Ladaniferus Essential Oil?
- Before preparing your cosmetic product
- Always wash your hands well.
- Move to a clean place.
- The making
- Dilute 6 drops of Cistus Essential Oil (Cistus ladaniferus) in a 50 mL bottle of Vegetable Oil or Phytosun Arôms Lipid Extract for cutaneous use.
- Close the bottle and shake well to homogenize the mixture.
- Label your product: the indications to put
- Vegetable Oil or Selected Lipid Extract + Cistus Essential Oil (ex: Cistus Essential Oil in Arnica Lipid Extract)
- List of ingredients of the two oils used (which you will find on the packaging)
- Lot number of Essential Oil used + Lot number of Vegetable Oil or Lipid Extract used (which you will find on the labels of the bottles)
- Date of manufacture of your product: MM / YYYY
- Expiration date: date of manufacture + 6 Months (eg: mixture made on 04/2021, expiration date = 10/2021), unless one of the two components has a shorter expiration date (eg: mixture made on 04/2021 but a component has an expiration date of 06/2021, expiration date = 06/2021).

Monoterpenes : alpha pinene (50%), camphene 6%, sabinene, limonene, gamma-terpinene, alpha-terpinene
Sesquiterpenes : ledene, allo-aromadendrene, gamma-gurjunene, alpha-copaene, delta-cadinene, gamma-cadinene
Monoterpene alcohols : borneol (2%), alpha-terpineol, terpinene-4-ol, (E) -pinocarveol, linalool
Sesquiterpene alcohols : viridiflorol, epi-globulol
Esters : bornyl acetate (3%)
Low amounts of ketones : fenchone (1%), acetophenone (1.5%), cyclohexanone 2,2,6 trimethyl, pinocarvone, cis-pinocamphone, trans-pinocamphone, camphor
Acids : campholenic acid
Phenols : eugenol (1%)
The EO of Corsican cistus contains alpha-pinene (39%), viridiflorol (11.8%), ledol (3.3%), bornyl acetate (3.1%), trans-pinocarveol (4.4–10.9%), cyclosativene, gamma- cadinene, trans-beta-farnesene, beta-eudesmol
Precautions for use
- Cutaneous use only.
- Do not use in children under 7 years of age, except on medical advice, in pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with a history of epilepsy or convulsions, people hypersensitive to Essential Oils.
- Avoid contact with eyes and mucous.
- Do not use on damaged skin.
- Do not distribute.
