This drug should not be used in the following cases: severe renal insufficiency, excess calcium in the blood.
Warning Given the aluminum content (provided by kaolin), precautions are necessary in patients with renal insufficiency undergoing dialysis. It is best to consult a doctor in the following situations: digestive disorders appearing for the first time, or if symptoms have changed recently; disorders associated with weight loss; difficulty swallowing or persistent abdominal discomfort. Do not use prolonged medication without consulting your doctor exams may be needed if symptoms persist. People suffering from stomach pain should avoid using medication containing aspirin or NSAIDs that weaken the stomach lining. Paracetamol is however safe to treat pain or fever. This medication contains salt (sodium) in significant amounts.
This medicine may decrease the absorption of many drugs. A delay of at least 2 hours (or 4 hours with antibiotics quinolone) should elapse between taking the drug and that of other treatments. Ask your doctor or pharmacist.
This medicine contains clay (kaolin ...) that may decrease the absorption of certain nutrients (iron, in particular); it should not be used for long periods during pregnancy without medical advice. Breast-feeding: This medication may be used by breastfeeding women.
This drug should be diluted in a glass of water.
Usual dose: 1 teaspoon at pains not to exceed 6 doses per day.
A balanced diet, slow chewing, the removal of difficult to digest foods and alcoholic beverages can often alleviate symptoms caused by acid reflux or inflammation of the stomach.
If you smoke, the pursuit of smoking is a major obstacle to treatment; nicotine increases gastric acidity and reduces the effectiveness of muscle which closes the junction between the esophagus and stomach.
