Magnesia San Pellegrino Without Anise Powder is a 90% osmotic laxative medication. It attracts water from the intestine and increases the volume of stool. It is recommended for the symptomatic treatment of constipation.
Magnesia San Pellegrino Without Anise Powder 90% is reserved for adults.
Oral use.
Half to 1 measuring spoon per day, diluted in a glass of water before breakfast or at bedtime.
If the treatment effect is insufficient, it should not increase the dose or prolonged use but ask advice to your physician or pharmacist.
The active substance is:
Magnesium hydroxide: 90 g per 100 g powder
The other ingredients are: Sucrose
A measuring spoon (4.5 g) contains 4.05 g of magnesium hydroxide.

Never Magnesia San Pellegrino 90% without anise powder in the following cases:
- In case of some diseases of the intestine and colon,
- In case of abdominal pain (stomach pain)
- In case of chronic constipation (long duration constipation).
- In severe renal insufficiency
- In case of pregnancy or alettement.
Chronic constipation (constipation long term) should not be treated with a stimulant laxative.
This medicine contains sucrose. Its use is not recommended in patients présentatn fructose intolerance (rare hereditary disease).

It is indicated in the treatment of constipation.
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE MAGNESIE SAN PELLEGRINO without anise 90 PERCENT, powder for oral suspension?
Never take MAGNESIE SAN PELLEGRINO WITHOUT ANIS 90 PER CENT, powder for oral suspension:
· certain diseases of the intestine and colon
· in case of abdominal pain (stomach pains)
· in the case of chronic constipation (long-lasting constipation)
· Severe renal impairment
Warnings and Precautions
Special warnings
Occasional constipation:
It may be related to a recent change in lifestyle (travel). The drug may be an aid in short treatment. Any recent constipation unexplained by the change in lifestyle. Any constipation accompanied by pain, fever, or swelling of the abdomen should have the physician's advice sought.
Chronic constipation (long-term constipation):
It can be linked to two causes:
· a disease of the intestine that requires management by the doctor.
· or an imbalance in intestinal function due to dietary habits and lifestyle.
Treatment includes:
· an increase in dietary intakes of products of vegetable origin (green vegetables, raw vegetables, wholemeal bread, fruits ...)
· an increase in the consumption of water and fruit juices
· an increase in physical activities (sports, walking ...)
· rehabilitation of defecation reflex
· sometimes, the addition of sound to food

Precautions for use
The use of this medication is not recommended in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase / isomaltase deficiency (rare hereditary diseases).

Children
In children the treatment of constipation is based on lifestyle and dietary measures: in particular the use of the right quantities of water with infant milk powders, a diet rich in vegetable products, addition of juice of fruits.
Other medicines and MAGNESIA SAN PELLEGRINO WITHOUT ANIS 90 PER CENT, powder for oral suspension
Antacid and other medicines should not be taken at the same time.
This other medication may be taken away from the antacid (eg 2 hours before).
If you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
