Stress, abundant meals or caught on the run, parties a little too watered ... our rhythms of life tend to maltreat the stomach and lead to burns and acid reflux. Banal symptoms, but annoying, they can really mess up everyday life. Overview of small gastric problems ...
Acute lift, heartburn ... These are two typical manifestations of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). GERD is when some of the acidic contents of the stomach move up into the esophagus. The stomach is lined with mucus that protects against acidity, but the esophagus is not protected: in case of acid reflux, the sensations will be most unpleasant.

Sodium alginate 500 mg
Sodium bicarbonate 267 mg
either Sodium 145 mg

INDICATIONS (summary)
This medication belongs to the local antacid family. It forms a viscous gel that floats in the stomach and protects the esophagus in the event of reflux of the contents of the stomach.
It is used in the treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn, acid rises).
WARNING (Contents)
Do not use this medication more than 7 days without the advice of your doctor: tests may be necessary if symptoms persist.
It is best to consult a doctor in the following situations:
  • digestive disorders appearing for the first time, or if disorders have changed recently;
  • disorders associated with weight loss;
  • difficulty swallowing or persistent abdominal discomfort.
Precautions are necessary in case of excess calcium in the blood or kidney stone.
People with stomach pain should avoid using drugs containing aspirin or NSAIDs that weaken the lining of the stomach. Paracetamol, on the other hand, is safe to treat pain or fever.
This drug contains salt ( sodium ) in significant quantities.
DRUG INTERACTIONS (summary)
This drug may decrease the absorption of many drugs. A delay of at least 2 hours (or even 4 hours with antibiotics of the quinolone family) must be observed between taking this drug and that of other treatments. Ask your doctor or pharmacist.
PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING (summary)

TIPS (summary)
In case of gastroesophageal reflux, it is good to split the meals, avoid the leaning position, avoid lying down after meals and not to wear too tight clothing. The elevation of the head of the bed is recommended.
If you are a smoker, continuing smoking is an important barrier to treatment; nicotine increases gastric acidity and reduces the effectiveness of the muscle that closes the junction between the esophagus and the stomach.
This medicinal product may be freely available in certain pharmacies; nevertheless, do not hesitate to ask your pharmacist for advice.
POSSIBLE ADVERSE EFFECTS (summary)
Very rare: allergic reaction .
