Puppies can be treated with FRONTLINE Spot-On (from 8 weeks), and pregnant dogs or lactating.
Description FRONTLINE DOG XL Spot-on economic prices 40-60 kg 6 pipettes
In giant dogs, pipettes Frontline provides treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas and ticks, and removal of lice.
The duration of protection against new infestations is two months for fleas and one month for ticks.
The drug can be incorporated into a treatment of allergic dermatitis by flea bite (FAD).
Directions for use and dosage

Dosage and administration: External topical. Dogs from 40 to 60 kg: a pipette FRONTLINE® Spot On XL per animal (4.02 mL).
Break the tip of the pipette Frontline Dog at the cutting part and empty the pipette directly on the skin of the animal by removing hair, preferably at two points, at the base of the neck between the shoulders to avoid licking. Ensure fully empty the contents of the pipette Frontline Dog.

Precaution of use
This product FRONTLINE DOG XL Spot-on economic prices 40-60 kg 6 pipettes is a veterinary drug. Read carefully the instructions before use. Ask your pharmacist or veterinarian. If symptoms persist, consult a veterinarian.
- FRONTLINE Spot On Dog:
In the absence of available data, do not treat puppies less than 8 weeks or weighing less than 2 kg.
Do not use on sick (systemic diseases, fever) or convalescent.
Do not use in rabbits because of the sometimes lethal side effects may occur.
This product was specifically developed for dogs: do not use in cats as this can lead to an overdose.
If licking, a brief period of hypersalivation due to the nature of the carrier can be observed.
Among the extremely rare suspected side effects:
Transient skin reactions at the application site (skin discoloration, local alopecia, pruritus, erythema) and general pruritus or alopecia have been reported. Exceptionally, hypersalivation, reversible neurological signs (hyperaesthesia, depression, nervous symptoms), vomiting or respiratory symptoms have been observed after use.
Do not overdose FRONTLINE Spot On Dog.
• Special precautions:
- Do not bathe animals during the 2 days before and after application of the product FRONTLINE Spot On Dog. Then, immersion in water does not affect the duration of protection against new infestations.
- Avoid direct contact of the product with your fingers. As with any topical insecticide treatment, wash your hands with soap and water after application. Avoid handling animals in the hours following the treatment FRONTLINE Spot On Dog.
- Do not smoke, drink, eat during application.
- Keep out of reach of children.
• Precautions during pregnancy and lactation:
Studies in laboratory animals have not revealed any teratogenic or embryotoxic effects of fipronil. Dermal absorption of the product FRONTLINE Spot On Dog is low, the use in females in gestation or lactation is not against inappropriate.
Studies show that tolerance specialty administered at 3 times the therapeutic dose does not cause side effects.
The minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
The risk of causing side effects may however increase in cases of overdose. In cats, an overdose of the product FRONTLINE Spot On a sticky appearance dog can cause the hair at the application site. However, in this case, these signs disappear within 24 hours after application.
• Special precautions for user:
This product may cause irritation of mucous membranes and eyes. So avoid contact of product FRONTLINE Spot On Dog with mouth or eyes.
Animals or users with a known hypersensitivity to insecticides or alcohol should avoid contact with the drug.
Avoid contact of the contents with your fingers. If this occurs, wash hands with water and soap.
In case of accidental exposure with eyes, rinse with clean water carefully.
Wash hands after application.
Do not handle animals treated and not allow children to play with treated animals until the application site is dry. It is therefore recommended that animals are not treated during the day but in the early evening, and that recently treated animals are not allowed to sleep with owners, especially children.
