Description of Aurigoutte Ear Solution 15 ml

Aurigoutte Auricular Solution 15 ml is an analgesic ear solution composed of a local anesthetic associated with an antiseptic .
It is used in the treatment of certain otitis externa and their painful manifestations.

Using advice from Aurigoutte Auricular Solution 15 ml

  • Infants and children : 2 drops 3 times a day.
  • Adults : 4 drops 3 times a day.

The treatment should not exceed 5 days, beyond if symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

Keep out of the reach of children.

Composition of Aurigoutte Ear Solution 15 ml

Hexamidine di-isethionate. 0.100g,
Lidocaine hydrochloride. 0.100 g,
Excipients (officinal glycerin, 95% ethyl alcohol), qs 100 ml

Precautions for use

Aurigoutte Auricular Solution 15 ml should not be used in the following cases:

  • in people with allergies to lidocaine,
  • in case of perforation of the eardrum

If in doubt, it is essential to seek the advice of your pharmacist or doctor.

It is imperative to have the condition of the eardrum checked by your doctor before any use because of the risk of toxicity to the ear in the event of perforation of the eardrum.

To avoid possible interactions between several drugs, you must systematically report any other treatment in progress to your pharmacist or doctor.

This specialty contains an active ingredient which can induce a positive reaction from tests carried out during doping controls.

The different symptoms of otitis externa

  • significant pain of rapid onset and tending to radiate into surrounding structures and increase in the event of mobilization of the pavilion;
  • presence of a slight discharge of pus with the sensation of having fluid in the ear canal (the discharge itself generally occurs 1 or 2 days after the onset of pain);
  • no hearing loss;
  • absence of general signs such as fever, but there are often small swollen glands around the ear.
  • Generally, otitis externa affects the entire ear canal and shows swelling and redness in the area.

1. WHAT AURIGOUTTE, ear drops AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR?

AURIGOUTTE, ear drops is an antiseptic treatment of otitis externa with closed eardrum and their painful manifestations.

You should talk to your doctor if you feel no improvement or feel worse after 5 days.

2. WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU KNOW BEFORE USING AURIGOUTTE, ear drops?

Never use AURIGOUTTE, ear drops:

· if you are allergic to hexamidine or lidocaine, or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine, listed in section 6.

· in case of perforation of the eardrum.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using AURIGOUTTE, ear drops .

3. HOW TO USE AURIGOUTTE, auricular drops?

Dosage and method of administration

Infants and children: 2 drops 3 times a day in the ear.

Adults: 4 drops 3 times a day in the ear.

Duration of treatment

5 days

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C.

Although this medication can be purchased without a prescription, have your physician check the absence of perforation of your eardrum.
Sportive: local anesthetics were removed from the list of doping substances published in the decrees of 20 April and 16 August 2004 by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING (summary)
The substances contained in this medication do not pass into the blood under the conditions of use (the doctor checks before prescription that the eardrum does not have perforation). It can be used during pregnancy or lactation.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE (summary)
Reheat the bottle between the hands before use to limit the unpleasant sensation associated with the introduction of cold liquid into the ear.
Tilt the head to the side and insert the solution into the ear. Keep your head in this position for 10 minutes (ear bath).

Usual dosage:

  • Adult: 4 drops in the ear to treat, 3 times a day, for 5 days.
  • Child and infant: 2 drops in the ear to be treated, 3 times a day.
TIPS (summary)
If there is no improvement after 5 days or in case of fever, consult your doctor.
POSSIBLE ADVERSE EFFECTS (summary)
Irritation, local allergic reaction .
