Description

The intestinal microbiota is a balanced ecosystem that is constantly self-regulating. This balance is under the threat of aggression that can lead to its breakdown. Dysbiosis is an imbalance of the microbiota associated with harmful consequences for the host. Dysbiosis can result from an excess of deleterious microorganisms and / or the relative insufficiency of microorganisms beneficial to the host.

Chronic inflammatory diseases of the intestine: Crohn's disease and ulcerative ulcerative colitis, are the consequence of an inadequate intestinal immune response against the usual bacteria of the microbiota. They result in inflammation of the intestinal mucosa and sometimes even at the systemic level or other organs.

1 capsule per day, i.e. 1 capsule in the morning OR in the evening to be swallowed with a glass of water

Substitution flora
It is indicated in the symptomatic adjunctive treatment of diarrhea, in addition to rehydration in adults and children over 6 years of age.
2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE ULTRA-YEAST 200 mg hard capsules
If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
Never take ULTRA-LEVURE® 200 mg, capsule:
- If you are allergic to any of its constituents
- If you have a central venous catheter.
If in doubt, it is essential to seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
Take special care with ULTRA-LEVURE® 200 mg capsule:
Warnings :
- The use of this medication is not recommended in patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose or galactose malabsorption syndrome (rare hereditary diseases).
- This medicine contains sucrose. Its use is not recommended in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase / isomaltase deficiency (rare hereditary diseases).
- It is recommended not to open the capsule in the environment of patients with a central venous catheter,
to avoid any colonization, in particular by hand (brought by the hands), of the catheter.
In fact, it has been reported in patients with a central venous catheter, even if not treated with S. boulardii, very rare cases of fungal infections (passage of yeast in the blood), most often resulting in fever and Saccharomyces positive blood cultures.
In all cases, these incidents progressed favorably after administration of antifungal therapy and, if necessary, after removal of the catheter.
- Concerning the child of more than 6 years and the adult, you must quickly consult your doctor in the following cases:
• in the absence of improvement after 2 days of treatment,
• in the event of fever, vomiting,
• if there is blood or mucus in the stool,
• in case of intense thirst, feeling of dry tongue.
Indeed, these signs show the beginning of dehydration, that is to say, significant loss of fluid due to diarrhea.
Your doctor will then judge the need to prescribe rehydration which can be done orally or
intravenous.
Precautions for use:
In children over 6 years old and in adults, this treatment is a supplement to dietary rules:
- rehydrate with abundant, salty or
sweetened, to compensate for the loss of liquid due to diarrhea (the average daily ration of water is 2 liters);
-feed the time of diarrhea,
• excluding certain intakes and particularly raw vegetables, fruits, green vegetables, spicy dishes, as well as
frozen foods or drinks,
• favoring grilled meats, rice.
ULTRA-LEVURE® being made up of living cells, do not mix it with a liquid or too hot food (more than
50 ° C), iced or alcoholic.
In case of doubt, do not hesitate to consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Taking or using other medications
Do not combine this drug with an antifungal (drug active against fungi).
If you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
Pregnancy
It is best not to use this medication during pregnancy.
If you discover that you are pregnant during treatment, consult your doctor as only he can judge the necessity

Dosage
Reserved for adults and children over 6 years old.
1 capsule per 24 hours in one take.

The capsules should be swallowed with a glass of water.

vitality of Saccharomyces boulardii.
4. WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS

is likely to have side effects, although

-Very rarely have allergic reactions been observed
(up to angioedema), redness,

- Rarely cases of hives have been observed.

CONTRAINDICATIONS ^(summary)

This medication should not be used in case of immunodeficiency or central venous catheter (which allows administration of chemotherapy or other drugs).

This medicine contains only substances presumed to be safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, do not use it for prolonged periods without the advice of your pharmacist or doctor.

DIRECTIONS AND DOSAGE ^(summary)

This medication should not be mixed with liquids or very hot, iced or alcoholic foods.
The capsules should be swallowed with a glass of water and the contents of the sachets should be dissolved in a glass of water.
Capsules are not suitable for children under 6 years old. Indeed, they may obstruct the airways if the child swallows badly and the capsule passes into the trachea (false route).

Usual dosage:

50 mg and 200 mg capsules:

• Adults and children over 6 years: 2 capsules 50 mg twice daily or 1 capsule 200 mg daily.
  

Bag:

• Adult and child over 2 years old: 1 sachet, 2 times a day.
  

TIPS ^(summary)

Diarrhea can cause dehydration, especially in children or the elderly. This loss of water by the body must be offset by abundant drinks (broth salty, sweet drinks) because it can be the cause of fatigue, discomfort or confusion of ideas.
The diet to follow in case of diarrhea is based on a light diet, based on:

• banana, potato, in soup or mashed potatoes;
  
• pasta, rice or tapioca cooked well, rice cooking water;
  
• stewed apple or quince, jelly of quince or blueberry;
  
• salty or sweet biscuits.
  

Should be avoided: fruit juices and raw fruits, high fiber vegetables, meats, eggs, dairy products and frozen drinks.
This medicine should be stored away from heat and moisture.

Very rarely: serious fungal infection, in immunodeficient patients or carriers of a catheter.

diarrhea
The strict medical sense of diarrhea is "stool delivery too frequent and too abundant". In fact, common sense equates diarrhea with the notion of fluid and frequent stools. Normally, the stools are pasty, but the emission of liquid stools or barely formed, without pain or particular associated disorder, is not pathological. We can talk about diarrhea when the liquid stool emissions are repeated during the day, and that the needs are imperious or painful.
Many drugs can accelerate intestinal transit and make bowel movements more liquid, without this undesirable effect being really worrying.
Antibiotics can alter the digestive flora, essential for digestion, and cause diarrhea more or less awkward but benign. The effect appears immediately or after a few days of treatment. A form of severe and exceptional diarrhea, pseudomembranous colitis, can be observed after antibiotic treatment; this condition results in the emission of mucus and false membranes (resembling skin flaps) associated with abdominal pain; constipation may replace the initial diarrhea. Pseudomembranous colitis can occur several days after stopping antibiotic treatment and requires urgent medical advice.
