Description of Tegaderm Foam Adhesive Hydrocellular Dressing 19x22.2 cm

Tegaderm Foam Hydrocellular Adhesive Dressing 19x22.2 cm is sterile and highly absorbent. Adapts its semi-permeability according to the amount of wound exudate. Ensures a sufficient level of humidity at the level of the wound when the wound is not very exuding and increases its ability to manage exudates in order to avoid any maceration on a heavily exuding wound. Foam is impervious to liquids (sweat, urine, showers) and to exogenous contamination (bacteria, viruses(1)), but allows gas exchanges thanks to excellent gas and water vapor permeability. Tegaderm polyurethane film Film in contour, perfectly isolating the wound and limiting the risk of leakage for an optimal duration of use and excellent maintenance of the dressing. Flexible, adapts easily to anatomical reliefs. Positioning facilitated by installation frame. Painless removal without residue.

(1) In vitro tests have shown that the film, intact and in the absence of leaks, behaved as a barrier to viruses 27 nm in diameter, such as HCV, or larger, such as HBV and HIV.

Precaution of use

• Do not use Tegaderm Foam Adhesive Hydrocellular Dressing 19x22.2 cm in case of allergy to one of the components.
• Massage the dressing well during application to increase adhesion.
• Do not stretch the dressing when placing it at the risk of creating mechanical skin lesions.
