Septivon belongs to medicines called antiseptics. It acts by killing bacteria. It is used to clean or locally treat skin that is infected or likely to be infected.
250 ml flask and 500 ml
The active substance is chlorhexidine digluconate (1.5 g per 100 ml solution).
The other ingredients are: alcanamidopropylbétaïne, diethanolamine coconut fatty acid, polyalkene glycol 3000, sodium edetate, pine fragrance, purified water.
This medication is applied to the skin. Do not swallow.
It is used pure or diluted with water.
This medicine may be used pure:
If you need to brush poorly extensive lesions.
When washing an area of your skin.
This medicine may be used diluted:
When washing an area of your skin. In this case, pour Septivon 3 plugs per 1 liter of water.
If you soak an area of your skin. In this case, pour 3 caps Septivon to 2 liters of water.
In women who must perform a toilet vulva. In this case, pour Septivon 3 plugs per 1 liter of water.
Rinse thoroughly after using this medicine.
If you have used more SEPTIVON you should: Tell your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to use SEPTIVON: do not use a double dose to make simple dose you forgot to use.
Never use SEPTIVON:
alelrgique if you are (hypersensitive) to chlorhexidine or any of the components,
for disinfection of medical and surgical equipment,
application in the eye,
under the ears when tympanic perforation.
Take special care with SEPTIVON:
Use properly and do not keep it long after it is started. Indeed microbial contamination is possible from the opening, especially when the volume of the bottle exceeds 250ml.
Furthermore, you must be careful if you use Septivon:
on a large area of skin,
under a waterproof covering water and air,
on a deeply burned skin,
on the skin of a premature baby or an infant. Indeed, there is a risk that the active substance passes into the bloodstream.
Taking or using other medicines:
This drug should not be used concurrently with other local antiseptics as there is a risk that the association of several antiseptics or inconsistent then make them ineffective.
