What is tinnitus?

Tinnitus are auditory sensations (hissing, crackling, buzzing, rustling, cracking, etc.) which are not caused by an origin or external noise.
They are intermittent or permanent and seen in one or both ears.
Sometimes, the affected person may also have the impression that the tinnitus is coming from the middle of their head.
The "noises" heard can occur, either suddenly or gradually.

What is the evolution of ringing in the ears?

The course of tinnitus varies greatly from one person to another. It is most often a simple temporary and occasional discomfort. But the perceived noises can also permanently inconvenience the person, affecting their quality of life.
When ringing in the ears is permanent, several disorders are indeed possible: problems falling asleep, difficulty concentrating, anxiety.
