Description Suppostoire Glycerine Child Gifrer

 

Laxative rectally. This drug is recommended in some forms of constipation and as a preparation for certain examinations (proctoscopy).

 

Directions for use Glycerin Suppository Child Gifrer

 

Glycerin suppository dosage Child: rectally. The suppository should be introduced at the anus. If needed, you can dip the suppository in cold water to facilitate the introduction. If your child is constipated: The usual dose is from January to February suppositories per day to get a saddle per day. If your child is preparing a rectal examination: The usual dose is 1 suppository to use 5 to 30 minutes before the examination. Treatment of constipation should not, on average, exceed 10 days.

Glycerol 1.25 g. Excipients with known effect: Gelatin, purified water.


Precaution of use

 

Keep out of reach of children. Never take this medication in the following cases: If your child is allergic to glycerin or any of the other components mentioned in the "Additional Information", if your child has obstructive bowel disease, given the laxative effect of the drug, if your child has abdominal pain syndrome of unknown causes and inflammatory (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, ...).

INDICATIONS (summary)
It is a laxative administered by way rectally. It triggers a contraction of the rectum which allows the evacuation of the stool.
It is used in the treatment of constipation, especially when stools accumulate in the rectum and the repeated pushes do not allow to evacuate them. It is also used to prepare the rectum before an endoscopic examination (rectoscopy).
WARNING (Contents)
Laxatives administered by way rectal should not be used without medical advice prolonged: they may prevent the normal reflex expulsion of stool.
Precautions are necessary in the person with hemorrhoids , anal fissure or ulcerative colitis .
PREGNANCY AND BREAST-FEEDING (summary)
This medication may be used on an ad hoc basis to treat constipation of pregnant or nursing women.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE (summary)
The laxative effect is manifested after a delay of 5 to 30 minutes.

Usual dosage:

  • Adult: 1 adult per day, to be renewed within 1 hour in case of constipation rebel.
  • Child: 1 suppository Child per day, to be renewed within 1 hour in case of constipation rebel.
  • Infant: 1 or 2 infant suppositories per day.
TIPS (summary)
The treatment of constipation is essentially based on hygiene measures: high-fiber food, abundant drinks, regular physical activity and time to get to the saddle.
POSSIBLE ADVERSE EFFECTS (summary)
Prolonged use may cause sensation of anal burning and, exceptionally, inflammation of the rectum.

Never give your child SUPPOSITORY TO GLYCERINE GIFRING CHILDREN, suppository:

· If your child is allergic to glycerol or to any of the other ingredients listed under "Additional Information";

· If your child has obstructive colopathy, given the laxative effect of the drug;

· If your child has indeterminate and inflammatory bowel syndrome (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, ...).

Precautions for use; special warnings

Take special care with GLYCERINE CHILDREN GIFRER, suppository:

· If your child has an intestinal disease called ulcerative colitis;

· If your child is suffering at the anus (anal fissure, hemorrhoid crisis).

In these situations, it is best to avoid the use of this drug.

The use of rectal laxatives in children must be exceptional: it must take into account the risk of impairing the normal functioning of the defecation reflex.
