Lavender is the first essential oil in the family kit: the essential. The first one that we will use for children (incorporated before in a vegetable oil).

Fine Lavender Essential Oil is recommended to calm nervous states, to promote sleep, to relieve muscle contractures, stiff necks and cramps. It is also an excellent aid to help the healing of wounds, burns, insect bites and relieve sunburn.

Main indications of fine lavender essential oil

Fine lavender essential oil is used in the following therapeutic indications:

- Stress, insomnia, anxiety

- Hypertension

- Rheumatism, muscle cramps, contractures, migraines

- Acne, burns, eczema, rosacea, infectious dermatoses, wounds and bedsores, varicose ulcers

Results of the fine lavender essential oil

Fine Lavender Essential Oil is very useful to always have in your first aid kit.
Calming, sedative, antidepressant. Hypotensive. Antispasmodic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory. Skin regenerator.

Tips for using fine lavender essential oil

Oral (stress, anxiety) : For adults put 2 drops on a neutral tablet 3 times a day. For children (over 7 years old), 1 drop 3 times a day.

Cutaneous way: 2 to 5 drops diluted in a vegetable or pure oil then massage the concerned area (contractures, sunburns ...) 3 times a day. For children, use only 2 drops.

Diffusion (stress) : Put a few pure or diluted drops with other oils in your diffuser.

In nervous states , put 20 drops of lavender in 2 tsp. vegetable oil or neutral bubble bath; pour under the turbulence of the tap and relax for 20 minutes; lavender is sedative: plan to go to bed after the bath.

For children, always dilute in vegetable oil as a sweet almond: 8 years, 8 drops; 5 years, 5 drops, 2 years, 2 drops ...

A classic otitis remedy: put 2 drops of lavender HE on cotton (no cotton wool), introduce at the beginning of the ear canal. Do not pour pure or diluted essential oil into the ear if the condition of the ear canal is not known.

Against hypertension, migraines : apply 3 to 5 drops of pure lavender on the temples, neck, wrists.

To help children fall asleep , distribute lavender and orange zest equally in the room for 10 minutes before putting the children to bed.

It is often recommended to put lavender on the pillowcase; it is a practice to avoid for two reasons: we put the face on the pillow; lavender is still an essential oil and can irritate the eyes; this is especially true for children. In the middle of the night, you wake up and the smell bothers you; what to do? It would have been enough to put the essential oil on a tissue that you keep close to you and that you can move away if necessary.

On the wounds, prepare lavender compresses : in a small bowl, pour ¼ cup of water and 4 drops of lavender; soak gauze and apply to the area to be treated.

Against musculoskeletal pain , prepare a friction of lavender alone or in synergy.

A drop of fine lavender essential oil in a cucumber mask blurs many skin imperfections.

Recommended synergies of fine lavender essential oil

With the essential oils of lemon eucalyptus, rosemary camphor, bay leaf, lemon verbena, black spruce and Scots pine in friction for pain.
With essential oils of geranium, and palmarosa for the skin.
With citrus essential oils for diffusion.
With Ylang Ylang essential oil as a hypotensive.

Precautions for the use of fine Lavender essential oil

- Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women

- Prohibited in people with epilepsy

- Forbidden to people allergic to limonene or linalool

- Prohibited in people with asthma without the advice of an allergist

- Respect dosages in children (risk of neurotoxicity)

- Risk of genomastifying effects in young boys

The properties explained above apply to good quality lavender; be wary of products claiming or without botanical species; the essential oil does not have the color of the plant: a lavender-colored oil automatically indicates a falsified product.
