Dermoscent Sunfree moisturizing sunscreen for dogs and cats against solar erythema
SunFREE is a sun care product specifically designed for dogs and cats:
- with a sparse coat, white hair, low pigmentation (ear pavilion, muzzle, inner thighs, abdomen)
- with temporary depigmentation due to an illness (hot spots, irradiation)
Our dogs and cats must be protected, like us, because they can suffer from burns, skin lesions, cancers... therefore by using sunscreens and preferably by keeping them in the shade and cool during critical hours ( between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.).

Your veterinary pharmacist's advice on sunburn
How to determine a sunburn in my dog or cat?
Consult as soon as a pink color appears on your animal's skin and remember that the damage, which is not very visible at the start, can quickly transform (in 3 to 6 years into a very aggressive cancer!). In the case of squamous cell carcinoma in cats, the amputation of part of the ear flap is sometimes necessary.
Which animals are most afraid of sunburn?
- Bare-skinned breeds (Peruvian Hairless Dog, Argentine Hairless Dog, Mexican Hairless Dog, Pharaoh's Dog or American Hairless Terrier) but also short-haired breeds (Boxer, Weimaraner, Bull Terrier, Dalmatian, Greyhound and Whippet ) and clear, like some Poodles…
- Cats with white ears (and blue eyes) are predisposed to skin cancers and should also be protected if they are often in the sun.
- As for dogs with long hair , their skin is more or less protected by the length and thickness of the coat as with a T-Shirt, however some like the Berger Blanc Suisse are sometimes sensitive...
