What is GrinTuss Sirop Adulte Aboca used for?

Herbal syrup for dry, productive coughs in adults. Grintuss natural syrup is recommended for pregnant women after the end of the 3rd trimester, for all types of cough (mixed, dry, irritant, oily). Its natural product-based formula has a mechanical action against coughs. Grintuss does not have the annoying side-effects of conventional cough syrups (drowsiness, constipation), and can be recommended for asthmatics and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) sufferers.

Grintuss Sirop for adults is a medical device from the ABOCA laboratory. This laboratory, a specialist in phytotherapy, is the market leader in Italy. Grintuss adults for dry, productive coughs protects the mucous membrane and soothes coughs. This syrup creates a protective film with a "barrier effect" that calms coughs by protecting the first respiratory tract. Grintuss Adult is formulated with Honey, Grindelia, Plantain and Helichrysum. Grintuss is specially formulated to adhere to the mucosa and limit contact with external irritants. What's more, it promotes hydration of the mucous membrane and mucus, encouraging its expulsion.

Mechanical action against coughs

GrinTuss Adult Syrup acts mechanically to soothe coughs, forming a protective film with a "barrier effect" that shields the first airways. Unlike traditional cough syrups, it does not cause drowsiness or constipation, making it suitable for use in adults, including pregnant women after the third trimester, asthmatics and people suffering from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).

Plant-based formulation

This syrup is formulated with natural ingredients carefully selected for their effectiveness in relieving coughs and protecting the respiratory mucosa:

  • Honey: Honey is renowned for its soothing and softening properties on irritated throats. It helps reduce the irritation and tingling associated with dry coughs.
  • Grindelia: This plant is traditionally used for its expectorant and decongestant properties. It helps liquefy bronchial secretions, making them easier to expel.
  • Plantain: Plantain is renowned for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties on respiratory mucosa. It helps reduce irritation and itching associated with coughs.
  • Helichrysum: Helichrysum has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help protect the respiratory mucosa and reduce inflammation caused by coughing.

Protection and hydration of the respiratory mucosa

In addition to calming coughs, GrinTuss Adult Syrup promotes hydration of the respiratory mucosa, helping to relieve irritation and facilitate mucus expulsion. Its adhesive action limits contact with external irritants, providing long-lasting relief and optimal respiratory comfort.

The Great Nettle, a vegetable from prehistoric times The Great Nettle, a vegetable from prehistoric times

The 19th-century mythologist Angelo de Gubernatis relates an interesting fact. According to him, mixing nettle seed with the bran given to hens increased egg production. What appeared to be a simple propitiatory ritual turned out to be true. It is now recognised that nettle seed stimulates hens to lay eggs. In Scandinavian countries, it makes excellent fodder, providing three cuts…
