Composition
Varromed is composed of two active substances: oxalic acid dihydrate and formic acid. It combines the properties of each of the substances: effect on phoretic varroa for oxalic acid (AO) and varroa reproduction in the brood for formic acid (AF). So, according to the proprietary BeeVital pharmaceutical company, it can be used in spring, autumn or winter. Ready to use, it is applied in liquid form by dripping on bees. Repeated application of VarroMed would, however, lead to an increase in bee mortality. The waiting time (time to respect between the last administration and the harvest) is 0 days, with a recommendation not to treat during a honey flow.
Precaution of use
Keep out of reach of children.

Our advice and expert advice in pharmacy
What is the danger for my bee colony?
The presence of varroa mites in the colony causes the disease called varroosis. Varroa infested bees are smaller, weaker, more susceptible to disease. Some are born with malformations of the wings and die a few hours after their birth. The infested colony gradually weakens and eventually dies, usually in winter.
It is now proven that Varroa plays a major role in increasing bee mortality and decreasing honey production.
