In which case use frontline pipettes for cat or kitten

This product is effective in the prevention and treatment of fipronil-sensitive parasites (mainly ticks and fleas). Kittens can be treated from 3 months, as well as pregnant or lactating cats .

Ticks are ectoparasites very well known in some areas including hunting areas and woodlands. The main tick species are responsible for the transmission of piroplasmosis , borreliosis (Lyme disease) and ehrlichiosis . In addition, Lyme disease is a zoonosis, that is to say that humans can also contract this condition.

Use advice and reviews on frontline chat

Apply on the dry skin of the kitten or cat. It is very important to spread the hair between the shoulders so that the skin is visible: apply the product on the skin and not on the hair. The Spot-On diffuses on the whole body and concentrates in the sebaceous glands which play a role of reservoir. Week after week, they release the product, ensuring prolonged effectiveness. Tip: The application on the cat should be done well at the base of the head to prevent the animal can lick itself.

What is the dosage of Frontline in cats

Precaution of use with frontline cat

It is important to ensure that the product is applied to an area where the animal can not lick and that cats or kittens do not lick each other.
Data evaluating the effect of a bath or shampoo on the efficacy of the product in cats are not available. However, based on information available in shampooed dogs from 2 days after the application of the product, it is not recommended to bathe cats within two days after application of the product.

Attached ticks can occasionally be observed. For this reason, the transmission of infectious diseases can not be completely ruled out if the conditions are unfavorable.
Pet fleas often infest their basket, sleeping area and usual resting areas such as carpets and sofas. In case of massive infestation and at the beginning of treatment, these places will have to be treated, with a suitable insecticide and sucked regularly.
