Can we be reimbursed for nicotine substitutes?
Since November 1, 2016, the Health Insurance covers, on medical prescription, nicotine replacement therapy up to € 150 per calendar year and per beneficiary.

To reduce smoking gradually, start by replacing the cigarettes that you can most easily do without with gums or the inhaler or lozenge. These allow you to relieve withdrawal symptoms and reduce smoking calmly.

He may advise you to combine NICORETTESKIN® transdermal patches with oral replacement forms (medicated chewing gum NICORETTE® 2 mg, NICORETTE® inhaler 10 mg, NICORETTE® sucking tablets 2 mg, sublingual tablets NICORETTE®MICROTAB 2 mg or NICORETTESPRAY® 1 mg / dose, oral spray solution).
When NICORETTESKIN® is combined with an oral replacement form, the dosage to be followed is the same as when these drugs are used alone as monotherapy. For the dosage of the oral form, consult the package leaflet of the chosen drug.
In combination only use one oral form at a time over a 24 hour period.
