What is Biocodex Ultra-Gyn vaginal flora used for?

Ultra-Gyn ovule is a medicinal treatment containing the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745.
It is recommended to relieve the symptoms of vulvovaginitis (the most frequent symptoms of which are excessive and smelly vaginal discharge , itching, burning or vaginal irritation) and helps regenerate the vaginal flora (or “microbiota”).
The vagina has its own specific flora made up of a set of beneficial microorganisms that protect us from infections. When the flora is out of balance, harmful pathogens present in the vagina , or from outside, can multiply. It is therefore important to rebalance the natural flora .

The imbalances of the vaginal flora are caused by different factors:

• Treatments: local antiseptics, anti-inflammatory drugs , antibiotics, antifungals, contraceptives (IUDs, spermicides), hormonal treatments,
• Unprotected sex ,
• Acute or chronic sexually transmitted infections (STIs),
• Aggressive hygiene: too frequent toilets, use of unsuitable soaps, vaginal douches,
• Pregnancy , menopause, childbirth, postpartum.

How to properly use Ultra-Gyn vaginal flora 10 Biocodex ova?

It is recommended to consult the instructions before any use.

Recommended dose: 1 egg per day for 8 to 10 days, preferably in the evening.
Method of administration: Remove the egg from its protective socket. Introduce the egg deeply into the vagina, preferably in a lying position.
The easiest way to do this is to lie on your back with your knees bent and apart.

Practical advice :
- wash hands thoroughly before and after administering the product,
- set up Ultra Gyn, preferably an egg before bedtime; the lying position to minimize the risk of product spillage,
- wear cotton underwear,
- in order to avoid staining the underwear, it is advisable to wear panty liners during the treatment,
- avoid douching and the use of scented soaps and bubble baths,
- avoid wearing tampons or a menstrual cup during treatment,
- treatment can be continued during menstruation.

A few tips for hygiene that respects the vaginal flora:
- limit your toilet to the vulva: the vagina, which is self-cleaning on its own, should not be showered, even with water,
- preferably use mild soaps or products suitable for personal hygiene, with a pH close to 5,
- the use of antiseptic and antibacterial products is reserved for episodes of infection, only on the advice of your doctor or pharmacist,
- after washing, dry yourself well with a clean towel,
- wipe from front to back after stool to prevent bacteria from spreading from the rectum to the vagina.

What is the composition of this Vaginal Ovum?

Ultra-Gyn vaginal flora Biocodex is formulated on the basis of: ULTRA-GYN®, ovum contains lyophilized Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 Biocodex yeast cells and a matrix of fatty substances (hemisynthetic glycerides).
Each egg is individually packaged in a cell made of PVC / PVDC / PE triplex.

What are the side effects and contraindications?

Internal use. Respect the mode of use as well as the dosage. Store in a clean, dry place away from heat, humidity and light. Always keep out of the reach of children.

In rare cases, vaginal burning which resolves spontaneously has been observed. In the event of local intolerance or allergic reaction (appearance or worsening of irritation, pruritus, burning sensations, etc.), stop the treatment and talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

ULTRA-GYN®, egg cell has a characteristic yeasty odor. This is normal and does not mean that there is a problem. This odor has no effect on the tolerance or effectiveness of the product.
Discharge may occur a few hours after the introduction of ULTRA-GYN®, ovum (the use of a panty liner is recommended).
Do not use ULTRA-GYN®, ovule if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product.
In the absence of a study, it is preferable not to use ULTRA-GYN®, ovum, at the same time as a diaphragm, a spermicide or a latex condom.
In the absence of data, it is not recommended to use ULTRA-GYN®, ovum if you are pregnant.

Warnings and Precautions:
