Ophtaxia Eye Wash 10 Unidoses Bausch & Lomb. Hygiene of the eye and its annexes by irrigation or eye baths. Can be used for daily use in babies, children, adults.
Ophtaxia Eye Wash Solution is a medical device indicated for the hygiene of the eye and its appendages by irrigation or eye baths. It can be used in daily use in babies, children, adults
Ophtaxia Eye Wash Solution from Bausch & Lomb Laboratories is a sterile eye care treatment for babies, children and adults. Ophtaxia Unidose is a balanced solution in electrolytes. These electrolytes: potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium are naturally present in tears.
Potassium has a high concentration because it plays a key role in maintaining osmolarity with sodium.
The combination of sodium acetate and sodium citrate acts as a buffer. It adjusts and stabilizes the solution to a pH around 7 and an osmolarity of about 305 mosm, values similar to tears; This makes it possible to guarantee good tolerance over time with respect to the cornea and the tear film even in the case of alteration of these elements.
The absence of preservative enhances the safety of use by eliminating any potential cytotoxicity, always possible with the presence of such products.
All these elements respect the integrity of the corneal epithelium.
Without preservative, Ophtaxia Eye Wash Solution is a sterile buffered ophthalmic solution that can be used even if the cornea is damaged and in ocular contact lens wearers.
Make 1 to 6 washes or applications per day of Ophtaxia Eye Wash Solution, as needed. Use Ophtaxia solution for ophthalmic lavage:
Wash hands thoroughly before use. Avoid touching the eye or eyelids with the single-dose container. As part of an associated treatment, do not instill at the same time a drop of Ophtaxia and (s) eye drops (s). The single-dose container is for single use only. Contact lens wearers are advised to remove them before eyewashing. Do not place in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
It all depends on the context. In the absence of trauma, it is the rinse while in case of trauma with ocular wound, the latter can do more harm than good!
In the absence of associated ocular trauma: the only useful action is to rinse the eyes thoroughly. Since tap water (even if boiled) and bottled water are not perfectly sterile, an eyewash solution or saline solution should preferably be used from a new (never opened) bottle.
The lens wearers must also remove them, clean them thoroughly with a suitable product (after washing their hands) and put them back only if the eye rinse has been effective (the pain disappears at once and it becomes possible to 'open the eye).
It is absolutely forbidden to rub the eye or try to dislodge the unwanted with a compress (even sterile) or worse, with a splinter, under penalty of damaging the cornea. Do not try to force open an eyelid by pulling on it, or you may push the foreign body deeper into the cornea.
No preservatives - Sterilization by filtration.
