Our professional advice and expert advice in natural health

The properties of active vegetable charcoal are due to its adsorption capacity (not to be confused with absorption), a physical phenomenon allowing the purification and elimination of undesirable substances by the liver, kidneys or intestines. Coal has a very high potential since it can adsorb 100 times its volume .

Contributing both to capturing undesirable substances but also to eliminating them, active vegetable charcoal fully interacts with the body. Indeed, not absorbed by the body, it circulates within the body to the intestinal sphere where it remains until it is evacuated in the feces.

What is the difference between absorption and adsorption?

  • Absorption is a phenomenon of filling one body with another, like a sponge that fills with water. The water remains trapped due to capillary forces.
  • Adsorption is a physical or chemical process that fixes molecules on the surface of a solid.
