When to use an Arnigel Boiron arnica ointment?

Arnica Arnigel Ointment helps restore tissue shape in bruises, sprains and bruises. It has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect which is based on an extract of the medicinal plant Arnica montana (compositae family), known for its healing properties. This ointment has a high content of arnica extract which promotes blood circulation: the substances essential for healing are transported more quickly and the waste products more quickly evacuated.

Identification and treatment of muscle pain

Muscle pain is indiscriminate and can affect anyone at any age. They are manifested by pain that can vary in intensity within our muscles. But where do these pains come from and how can they be relieved?

The origin of muscle pain and their effective treatments

Muscle pain, also known as myalgia, is often the result of damage to or buildup of a specific substance in muscle tissue. These pains usually occur after intense physical exertion or following excessive stretching, although certain medications can also be the cause. The most common symptoms are throbbing, numbness, muscle stiffness or tingling. However, these symptoms may progress to a burning sensation or discomfort when performing movements.

Muscle pain: Definition and distinctive signs

Muscle pain or myalgia manifests itself in various forms, ranging from mild pain to severe pain. They can be caused by various factors such as injury, physical exertion or certain medical conditions. Symptoms commonly associated with myalgia include acute or chronic pain, feeling muscle weakness, cramping, stiffness, and spasms.

Factors contributing to muscle pain

Several factors can promote the onset of muscle pain. Among them we can cite intense physical exercise, excessive stretching or direct injury to the muscle. Certain medications can also cause myalgia. It is therefore important to understand these factors to effectively prevent and treat muscle pain.

Treatments adapted to each type of muscle pain

Muscle pain can be treated in different ways, depending on its cause and its intensity. Treatment options include rest, application of heat or cold, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), physiotherapy, and sometimes surgery.

Prevention and relief of muscle pain

Prevention is an important part of managing muscle pain. This includes measures such as warming up before exercise, proper hydration, good posture, and avoidance of excessive physical activity. When pain occurs, relief techniques such as applying heat or cold, massage, and the use of medication can help manage it.
